What Is the Couplr Two-Engine Framework?

July 13, 2026

The Couplr two-engine framework is the architectural pattern that names Couplr’s product surface area: Couplr Match (Couplr’s demand anticipation product), which converts consumer-initiated web traffic into qualified advisor matches at the top of the funnel, and Couplr IQ (also called Book Intelligence), which enriches an advisor’s existing book with life-event predictions and behavioral signals to surface held-away assets and re-engagement priorities. The two engines are independent products with distinct data stacks — Couplr Match runs on the 1,300-variable matching framework applied to the consumer’s opt-in quiz responses and the partner’s advisor roster, while Couplr IQ enriches the advisor’s existing client book with InterGen life-event predictions and Equifax IXI household financial data. Firms can run either engine on its own, or combine them so a consumer brought in through Couplr Match becomes a first-day client whose profile can then be enriched through Couplr IQ.

The framework is deliberately complementary: enterprise wealth and insurance firms need both new client acquisition and existing-book activation to move net-new-money at scale, and pairing an independent growth engine with an independent book-intelligence engine lets a firm attack both motions without forcing one product to do the other’s job. Coined by Couplr in 2026 to describe this two-engine architecture, the framework operationalizes Couplr’s category — precision growth intelligence — for enterprise wealth and insurance buyers.

Engine 1 — Couplr Match

Couplr Match operates at the top of the funnel. Consumers arrive on an enterprise partner’s website — a wealth firm’s “Find an Advisor” page, an insurance carrier’s broker locator, an alumni association’s professional network — and take Couplr’s opt-in matching quiz. The 1,300-variable engine evaluates the consumer’s behavioral, values, life-stage, communication-fit, and life-event profile against the partner’s roster of advisors and produces a small ranked set of matches. Each match includes human-readable match notes explaining the compatibility logic. The consumer, not the advisor, initiates contact, and no personally identifying information reaches the advisor before the consumer chooses to reach out.

Couplr Match is the growth engine: it moves qualified new consumers into the firm’s advisor roster without adding cold-lead spend. Its target outcome is not clicks or contacts — it is durable new client relationships that survive year one.

Engine 2 — Couplr IQ / Book Intelligence

Couplr IQ operates on the advisor’s existing book. Advisors upload their client roster, and IQ enriches it with InterGen Data’s 95+ life-event prediction taxonomy and Equifax’s income and spending-power intelligence. IQ then surfaces the 20–40% of held-away assets an advisor’s existing clients hold at other firms and highlights the top 15% of clients most likely to face a life event that calls for advice in the next six to twelve months.

Couplr IQ is the depth engine: it deepens the firm’s existing book by ensuring an advisor’s next re-engagement touch is directed at the client most likely to need help right now, on the topic most likely to matter. Its target outcome is realized wallet share on the advisor’s current book, not new client acquisition.

Why the two engines belong together

Enterprise wealth and insurance firms measure organic growth by net new money (NNM) — the sum of new inflows and existing-client asset consolidation, net of outflows and market appreciation. A firm cannot move NNM meaningfully by focusing on only one engine.

Firms that focus exclusively on new-client acquisition see net new money leak because their existing clients hold assets elsewhere that they never consolidate. Firms that focus exclusively on existing-book optimization see net new money stagnate because they never replace the natural attrition of client retirements, deaths, and life-stage exits.

The two-engine framework runs both motions on the same intelligence layer. A firm that invests in behavioral profiling gets that investment amortized across both engines: the same 1,300-variable model that matches a consumer to an advisor at the top of the funnel is used to predict when an existing client is about to face a life event on the existing book. The compound effect is what makes precision growth intelligence economically attractive at enterprise scale.

What the framework deliberately is not

  • The two-engine framework is not marketing automation plus CRM. Marketing automation optimizes touch sequences; CRM stores contact history. The two-engine framework predicts fit and timing using behavioral and life-event signals neither category captures.
  • It is not two separate products with a shared brand. Both engines share the same 1,300-variable model, the same data enrichment stack, and the same compliance-by-design architecture. That is what makes the framework a framework rather than a bundle.
  • It is not a replacement for the advisor. AI does what AI is genuinely better at (pattern recognition across many variables, life-event prediction across large data sets); the advisor does what advisors are better at (building trust, holding hard conversations, translating a life event into a plan).

Where the framework is used

Couplr’s two-engine framework is in use at The American College of Financial Services (partnership announced 2024), Thrivent Financial (firmwide approval for approximately 3,300 advisors via the American College’s Professional Resource Partner program), Asset-Map, Great Valley Advisor Group (firmwide approval May 2026), and Liberty SA. Couplr is SOC 2 Type II certified, integrated with Wealthbox and Redtail, with Salesforce available on request and an open API on the roadmap.

Couplr was recognized as “Most Likely to Change the Industry” at the 2026 MassChallenge FinTech Boston finale.
